It is interesting that within the ESG compliance framework, there is no real emphasis on product compliance – unless this can be seen as part of Governance. Whether your business offered a physical product or component, or a service, the delivery of your product or service should be safe and benchmarked to all relevant standards.
Finding out what relevant standards are can be time consuming and baffling. This is particularly true if you are creating a new product or involved in ImpEx of a product or service. If you are trading with or in different jurisdictions, product and service standards and regulations will vary. What is compliant in Europe, for example, will not be compliant in the US.
